Our Journey
Lagos Suya Spot Nairobi
Origin Story
My heart was captured by Nairobi in 2021, when I arrived for what I thought would be a short
vacation. The vibrant spirit of Westland, the warm Kenyan breeze, and the welcoming smiles of the people here made me extend my stay from one week to two.
My husband, half Nigerian and half Kenyan, thought I was joking when I told him I wanted to plant roots here and start a business. But Kenya had woven its magic around me, and I knew I had to share a piece of my Nigerian soul with this beautiful city.
Back in Nigeria and later in the U.S., I couldn’t stop thinking about Nairobi. When I returned, I noticed something missing; there was no place to savor the bold, comforting flavors of Nigerian cuisine, not to my knowledge. No suya, no jollof, no egusi to warm the heart as it should be.
That’s when the idea for Lagos Suya Spot was born, sparked by my love for suya, the smoky, spicy delight of my homeland.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Lagos Suya restaurant in Nairobi, and I must say, it was an incredible experience! The food was absolutely delicious each dish was not only visually appealing but bursting with flavor. The ambiance of the restaurant was equally impressive, providing a welcoming and enjoyable environment. I would definitely rate Lagos Suya as one of the best restaurants in Nairobi. If you're a fan of tasty, well-presented meals, this is a place you won’t want to miss Dr. Obi Obata2025-04-28Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This is by far the best Nigerian restaurant I’ve visited anywhere in the world! Food: The food was impeccable, both in quantity and quality. Portions were generous, and everything tasted amazing. The pepper soup was perfect — full of flavor with tender, well-cooked meat. In fact, the food was so good that we ended up ordering delivery from them again a few days later, before leaving Nairobi. Ambiance: This is the largest Nigerian restaurant I’ve ever been to outside of Nigeria. There’s plenty of space, unlike the tight, crowded feel of many other Nigerian spots. The only downside is that the decor doesn’t really reflect a Nigerian theme — it felt a bit plain and could use some cultural touches to bring the atmosphere to life. Service: The service was excellent. Our server made us feel welcome from the start — she was respectful, attentive, and made sure we enjoyed our visit, which we definitely did. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Nigerian food! Noreen Kombo2025-01-07Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Very convenient location for locals and visitors. A rich west African menu with a sizeable amount of Kenyan twists. I had the tilapia wet fry instead of ugali I chose eba! Medium hot 🔥 was just the perfect meal marriage. P.s the fried tiny dough appetizers were amazing 🥰 monsieurpaulo2025-01-03Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Review is coming a little late, but I had to share my experience. We only discovered the Lagos Suya Spot a few days before leaving Nairobi, yet we managed to enjoy several meals there. It was such a treat to find a place that offered a true taste of home. The food was excellent, the service was top-notch, and the owner was incredibly warm and welcoming. I definitely plan to visit again the next time I’m in Nairobi—especially now that I see the space has had a gorgeous facelift 🤩 Tosin Balogun2024-10-02Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
