Lagos Suya Nairobi: Serving Meals For Extraordinary Living
My heart was captured by Nairobi in 2021, when I arrived for what I thought would be a short vacation.The vibrant spirit of Westland, the warm Kenyan breeze, and the welcoming smiles of the people here made me extend my stay from one week to two.
My husband, half Nigerian and half Kenyan, thought I was joking when I told him I wanted to plant roots here and start a business. But Kenya had woven its magic around me, and I knew I had to share a piece of my Nigerian soul with this beautiful city. Back in Nigeria and later in the U.S., I couldn’t stop thinking about Nairobi. When I returned, I noticed something missing; there was no place to savor the bold, comforting flavors of Nigerian cuisine, not to my knowledge. No suya, no jollof, no egusi to warm the heart as it should be.
That’s when the idea for Lagos Suya Spot was born, sparked by my love for suya, the smoky, spicy delight of my homeland.
From Our Family To Yours
With encouragement from friends, I expanded my dream, adding dishes quickly that celebrate Nigeria’s rich culinary, from the Yoruba West, where I’m from, to the Igbo East, the Delta South, and the Northern plains. Every dish at Lagos Suya Spot is a labor of love
I import ingredients straight from Nigeria to keep the flavors authentic, because Nigerian food isn’t just food; it’s home, it’s memory, it’s love. From our humble beginnings at a food court to the elegant dining experience we offer today, myself and my team pour our hearts into every plate, cooking as if for royalty.
